NZQA Registration

In November 2010 NZ Equine Dentistry School (NZDES) was successful in their application to the NZ Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to become a registered Private Training Establishment (PTE). NZQA is responsible for the registration of PTEs.

NZQA Course Approval and Accreditation

In May 2011 the New Zealand Equine Dentistry School Certificate in Equine Dentistry, Level 5 course was approved by NZQA and the New Zealand Equine Dentistry School was accredited to deliver the course.

The New Zealand Equine Dentistry School Course is the first in New Zealand to achieve such a high level of academic recognition and was only possible with extensive consultation and the hard work of all stakeholders that have been involved.

New Zealand Equine Dentistry School is the first Private Training Establishment that has been recognised by a government to deliver an equine dentistry course.

 


 

MOE - Signatories to the Code of Practice of Pastoral Care of International Students

New Zealand Equine Dentistry School is a signatory to the Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of International Students, as established under section 238F of the Education Act 1989. with the Ministry of Education. 

New Zealand Equine Dentistry School meets the quality standards of pastoral care as set out in the Code.

New Zealand Equine Dentistry School has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. Copies of the Code are available from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website at www.minedu.govt.nz/international

Immigration New Zealand

New Zealand Equine Dentistry School adheres to the requirements and procedures of Immigration New Zealand (INZ) in the admission and enrolment of all prospective international students.  New Zealand Equine Dentistry School will only enrol international students who hold a current student visa or permit that has been endorsed with the New Zealand Equine Dentistry School name and the course in which they have been offered a place.

Under its regulations, INZ will be notified immediately, by the INZ electronic notification form, of the termination of an international student’s enrolment.  All visas/permits will be checked on arrival at New Zealand Equine Dentistry School.  A copy of each student’s original visa/permit and passport will be kept for the duration of the student’s enrolment with New Zealand Equine Dentistry School.

An offer of place from the Institute does not guarantee that a student will be issued with a student visa/permit by the immigration authorities.
