I found Warwick to be an excellent teacher, he has great professionalism and is a first rate communicator.  He is also a very patient and thorough teacher and would always take the time to explain sometimes difficult procedures clearly and repeatedly, never making the student feel awkward if you did not understand thing initially.

Warwick has an extensive understanding of equine dentistry and horses in general and is always very professional out in the field.

On a personal note, Warwick always made me feel more like a friend than a student.  He is very open and approachable and always brings a sense of enjoyment and humour to the training.  I myself come from an animal training background and found that Warwick was very much an all round horseman and has an excellent business understanding.

The NZ Equine Dentistry School taught me the skills necessary to not only start my own business, but to be successful.  This program offers practically based teaching methods, with hands on experience from the very beginning.  Dentist, Warwick Behrns is a definite leader in the field of equine dentistry, his decades of experience, coupled with the veterinary knowledge of dentist, Dr Jorge Pombo, makes for an unbeatable teaching team.  If you're looking for practical teaching, and everyday, real world situational based cases, then the NZ Equine Dentistry School is for you.

As a human dentist, I obtained a certain amount of knowledge necessary to practice dentistry. Finishing the equine dentistry course under the firm guiding hand of Mr. Behrns, my theoretical and practical dental skills improved even more.  As a former student at the New Zealand Equine Dentistry School, I have found my dental career more profound and more enhanced, now when I am able to work equally well with humans and with horses.

When I decided to take part in equine dentistry, Mr. Behrns and his school came highly recommended, especially concerning the fact that he was an advanced certified member of the International Association of Equine Dentistry.

During my stay at the NZ School of Equine Dentistry, I found Mr. Warwick Behrns an excellent teacher, who was able to pass on his knowledge and experience thoroughly to all students present, even though we all have come from different parts of the world with different backgrounds.  Mr. Warwick Behrns also has shown great professional dedication to the students and horses.

I believe that the school concept was very well organized, with exactly the right amount of theoretical classes and lots of practical classes as well. At the school, students were able to discuss and practice regular as well as new methods of treatments in equine dentistry.

My time at New Zealand school of Equine Dentistry was truly value creating. The most important things I learnt from Warwick were; to think of every horse as an unique individual and to think outside the box. This course offered a lot of hands on work, which gave me confidene to start my own business in India. Even now Warwick is just an email away, which is great as there are no other equine dentists here. Im truly grateful that I was able to learn Equine Dentistry from Warwick. Dianna and the family were very warm and helpful , which made my stay in New Zealand absolutely wonderful and memorable.

The New Zealand Equine Dentistry School provided me with the opportunity to study both the broad and the finite components of equine dentistry to practice at a high level. Studying at the school under Warwick's tuition allowed me to return to Australia and begin my own business practicing as an equine dentist with the highest competence and confidence. Having grown up and competed with horses at a highly professional level, I found Warwick's approach to horses was a quiet, patient and competent manner; an aspect which has led me to great success in my practice by working with horses without the need for sedation and also through repeat clientele.

I found the large amount of practical ‘hands-on' aspect of the course was one of the most beneficial components allowing me to visualise and gain a thorough understanding of certain problems I will be likely to encounter in my own business, and how to treat those particular problems. The school makes itself available for their students to contact to further their education and frequently update knowledge. I give my highest recommendation for those looking to study equine dentistry to consider the New Zealand Equine Dentistry School.
